GRANDMA'S AMMONIA COOKIES 
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. lemon extract
Baking ammonia size of a walnut (can be purchased at Vanilla Bean), dissolve in 3/4 c. warm sweet milk (about 1 hour)
Flour enough to roll, about 4 c.
1 tsp. salt

Roll out and cut with your favorite cutters. Bake at 400 degrees for about 3 minutes so cookies are done but not brown. Cool, then frost and decorate.
