1 1/2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 beaten egg Milk Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add beaten egg to a little milk and mix with flour, adding enough milk to make a drop batter. Drop by tablespoon into boiling stew. Cover and cook without lifting cover for twenty minutes. Dumplings (for Stewed Chicken): 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 4 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons butter 3/4 cup milk Combine ingredients. Place the dough by spoonfuls on the top of a boiling stew.
