MARINARA SAUCE FOR PASTA 
1/3 c. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
3 tbsp. chopped parsley
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 bay leaf
Dash of salt
Dash of black pepper
Fresh basil leaves

In large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Slowly add remaining ingredients. Stir to break up tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer sauce over low heat for about 15 minutes for flavor to blend. Serve sauce with spaghetti or other pasta dishes.
