CHINESE HOR D'OEUVRES 
1 can water chestnuts, drained
4 slices bacon
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1 box chicken livers (optional)

Wrap 1 water chestnuts with a half slice of bacon; fasten with a toothpick. Marine in sauce; broil until crisp. For the exotic touch, sandwich a slice of chicken liver between chestnut halves before wrapping in bacon. Marinate and broil as usual.

Yields 8 servings. Have plenty for party treats.
