YUMMY OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. quick oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. raisins

Cream together sugars and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth. In another bowl, mix rest of the ingredients (including raisins). Add a little at a time to sugar mixture until all is blended. Roll into small balls. Put on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-12 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Yield: 5 dozen.
