SPANISH PORK CHOPS 
4 thick pork chops
4 slices onion
4 tbsp. uncooked rice, moistened
Salt and pepper
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
1/2 soup can of water
Sm. amount of shortening for frying

Set electric skillet on medium high and brown chops on both sides in shortening. Reduce heat to low or simmer. On each chop place one onion slice and then 1 tablespoon of rice. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix together the soup and water and pour evenly over chops. Cook covered for 45 minutes or until done.

Moisten rice with just enough soup or water to hold it together when placed on onion slice.
