PORK CHOPS SPANISH STYLE 
6 pork chops or pork steaks
Pepper and salt
2 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 c. uncooked rice
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt

Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Brown meat in hot shortening; drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a 1 1/2-quart greased baking dish, combine tomatoes with liquid, rice, butter, and 1 teaspoon salt. Arrange meat over rice. Bake for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Serves 4.
