EXTRA GOOD OVEN POT ROAST | |
2 1/2 lb. boneless chuck beef roast 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. paprika 1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1/2 c. catsup 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar 1 tbsp. prepared mustard (I use Gulden's) 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lg. onion, cut in thin strips Rub meat with mixture of salt, chili powder and paprika. Place in preheated casserole, one where the meat just fits so the sauce covers it pretty much). Stir the remaining ingredients together and add. Cover lightly and bake in 350 degree oven until tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours. |
