CHINESE PRETZELS 
3 c. flour
1 c. cornstarch
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
6 c. oil for deep-frying
Pretzel irons

Place pretzel irons in oil and heat to 325 degrees. Mix batter. Spray food, release on hot iron and dip iron in batter up to 2/3 to 3/4 of the iron's depth. Deep-fry pretzel until golden brown, then remove from iron. Makes approximately 200 pretzels.

COMMENTARY: Everyone seems to enjoy eating these pretzels, but making them can be very tedious unless multiple irons and hands are available. These pretzels can be stored for a long period of time in air-tight containers.
