CHOCOLATE PIE 
6 eggs, separate whites
1 lg. can evaporated milk
2 c. sugar
1 lg. can Hershey's chocolate syrup
6 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar and flour. Add egg yolks. Stir well. Add chocolate syrup and milk alternately, beating well with electric beater after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Pour into unbaked pastry shells. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until firm. Cool. Add meringue.

MERINGUE:

6 egg whites, beaten stiff
12 tbsp. sugar

Add sugar one tablespoon at a time to stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat well after each addition. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. Beat well and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Top baked and cooled pies. Place in 350 degree oven until brown.

Makes 2 pies.
