BAKED STUFFED BASS | |
1 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. onion (finely chopped) 1 1/2 c. bread (diced) 1/2 c. cottage cheese 1 tsp. dill weed (crumbled) 2 tbsp. dill pickle (finely chopped) 1/2 tsp. salt Dash pepper 2 tsp. lemon juice 1 lg. mouth bass (about 3 lb.) Saute onion in butter for 2 minutes, then mix with bread. Add cottage cheese, dill, pickle, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Mix well. Wash bass and dry. Salt inside of bass and stuff. Sew, or fasten with toothpicks and lace up with heavy white thread. Place bass in a lightly greased baking pan. Brush lightly with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes for each pound of fish, or until the flesh easily separates from the bone. |
