BEEF KABOBS 
2 lbs. beef tips
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef consomme
1/3 c. dry white wine or apple juice
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. cornstarch

Place beef in rectangular baking dish. Heat consomme, wine, soy sauce, garlic, and onion powder to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes; cool. Pour mixture on beef. Cover and refrigerate, spooning mixture over beef occasionally, at least 3 hours. Thread 5 beef cubes on each skewer. Stir cornstarch gradually into marinade in saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Boil and stir for 1 minutes. Brush over kabobs. Broil at 550 degrees for 10 minutes or place on out door grill. You can add mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers.
