CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
1 qt. of tomatoes or juice
1 lg. onion or 2 sm. onions
2 tbsp. sugar
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 qt. sweet milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste

In saucepan, combine tomatoes or juice, onion and sugar. Cook until the onion is done. Set aside to cool. In a skillet, cook the butter, milk, salt and pepper. Add to the cooled mixture.
