PINEAPPLE CUSTARD FROSTING 
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. crushed pineapple and juice
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick each butter and butter or 2 sticks butter

Mix sugar and cornstarch; combine milk, beaten eggs, vanilla and pineapple. Add to sugar/cornstarch. Cook over a very low fire, stirring constantly until thick. Cool THOROUGHLY!

Cream shortening until fluffy and add to COLD custard. Mix cold custard and shortening until light and ready to spread on cooled sheet or layer cake. Makes large amount.
