2 sticks of butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. Sofasilk cake flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. heavy cream

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one. Alternate with flour and cream. Add vanilla. Beat at HIGH SPEED 5 minutes. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. DO NOT turn oven on until after you put the cake in. When cake is done, cool about 10 minutes before removing from pan.
