ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
1 c. butter
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda (add to buttermilk)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped
2 c. chopped pecans
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 lb. orange slice candy, cut in sm. pieces
1 (3 oz.) Angel Flake coconut

Cream butter, sugar, eggs, and salt; add flour, milk and beat. Fold in remaining ingredients. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325 degrees. When done, remove from oven and immediately pour following over cake.

1 c. fresh orange juice
2 c. powdered sugar
