2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cubes butter
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, sugar and salt. In saucepan combine butter, water and cocoa and bring to a boil Mix into flour mixture. In another bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Combine all ingredients and pour into greased cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

1 cube butter
6 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 1 c. nuts
1 box powdered sugar

Heat butter, milk and cocoa, but do not boil. Add vanilla, nuts, powdered sugar, and spread on warm cake.
