CONTINENTAL POUND CAKE 
1 (18 1/2 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. water
4 eggs
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 c. chopped candied fruit
1/2 c. canned almond paste

Combine cake mix, instant pudding, oil, water and eggs. Blend at low speed, then medium for 2 minutes. Add almond paste until well blended. Add fruit at low speed. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch plain or fluted pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 55-60 minutes or until center springs back. Cool 25 minutes in pan and invert to serving plate. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serves 12-16.
