EASY PIE FILLING CRUNCH 
For 9 x 13 inch pan:
6 tbsp. butter
1 (18 1/2 oz.) yellow cake mix
2 (21 oz.) can pie filling
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (or pecans)
Whipped cream or ice cream
For 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan:
3 tbsp. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cake mix
1 (21 oz.) pie filling
1/4 c. nuts
Whipped cream or ice cream

Suggested fillings: Cherry, apple, blueberry, peach.

Cut butter into dry cake mix until crumbly; reserve 1/3 cup of mixture. Press remainder into pan, building up about 1/2 inch around sides. Spoon cherry pie filling (or other) over crumb bottom "crust" to 1/2 inch of edge of pan.

Combine reserved crumb mixture and nuts; sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
