“PUFFED RICE CANDY” IS IN:

PUFFED RICE CANDY 
1 pkg. puffed rice cereal (6 cups)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 cup hot water
2 tbsp. butter
pinch of salt
pinch of baking soda

Toast puffed rice cereal in oven until crisp.

Combine remaining ingredients except baking soda in pan.

Cook until small amount of mixture crackles when dropped in cold water (300-310°F on candy thermometer).

Add baking soda; stir in toasted puffed rice. Press in buttered pan; cool and cut into squares.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.
