DATE - RICE KRISPIE CANDY | |
1 c. finely chopped dates 1 c. sugar 2/3 stick butter 1 egg yolk 2 c. Rice Krispies 1 c. finely chopped pecans Coconut (optional) Mix dates, sugar, butter, and egg yolk; cook for 8 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Pour into bowl; let stand until cold. Add Rice Krispies and pecans. Shape by hands into small balls or rolls. Dampen hands to roll. Roll in coconut; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Yield: 3 dozen. |
