SPINACH LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1 1/2 tsp. crushed basil
1/2 to 1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. cottage cheese
1 egg
1 box drained frozen spinach
1 c. Mozzarella cheese
1/2 pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked

Brown beef, add onions and drain. Add next 10 ingredients and simmer 1 hour. Combine cottage cheese, egg and spinach. Shred Mozzarella cheese.

In 9 x 13 inch glass dish, layer noodles, sauce, noodles, cheese mixture, sauce and Mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes before serving. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
