REFRIGERATED BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. 100% Bran cereal
1 c. boiling water
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (butter, good)
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. All Bran cereal
3/4 c. raisins or dates and nuts, if like

Pour boiling water over 100% Bran cereal and let cool. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Mix alternately with buttermilk to sugar mixture. Add cooled water and bran mixture. Add All Bran, raisins, etc. place in refrigerator. Do not bake first day. Bake within a few days and freeze if you want. Fill muffin tins 3/4 full. Bake for 20 minutes.
