NEVER FAIL OVERNITE CAKE 
2 c. cake flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water

Sift dry ingredients together three times. Add boiling water. Beat well and cool. When cold, add 2 teaspoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt. Beat hard again.

6 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and flavoring until very stiff. Fold cooled batter very carefully into egg whites. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
