STUFFED PASTA SHELLS 
1/2 box of lg. pasta shells
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. Italian sausage
1/2 c. diced onions
1 tsp. salt
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
12 oz. cottage cheese
12 oz. Mozzarella, shredded
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Cook shells and drain. Brown ground beef, sausage, onions, and salt; drain excess grease. In a saucepan mix tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, garlic powder and oregano; simmer for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, mix cottage cheese, 6 ounces of Mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper. Add meat mixture and mix well. In the bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 pan pour 1/2 tomato sauce mixture. Stuff shells with meat/cheese mixture. Place shells on top of sauce in pan; top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with remaining Mozzarella and Parmesan. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
