MARGIE'S PARMESAN BISCUITS | |
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 3/4 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. paprika 2 c. flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. shortening 1/2 c. milk 1 egg 4 slices crisp, crumbled bacon Blend mayonnaise, cheese and paprika; set aside. Combine flour with baking powder and salt in mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until particles are fine. Combine milk and eggs, add to dry ingredients; stir until dough clings together. Knead lightly on floured surface 10 times. Divide in half; roll out each half into 14 x 6 inch rectangle. Transfer one rectangle to ungreased cookie sheet. Spread with 1/2 cheese mixture, sprinkle with bacon. Top with second rectangle. Cut into 16 triangles. Do not separate. Spread with remaining cheese mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm. |
