WALNUT SUGAR DROP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts

Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, beat well. Blend in vanilla.

Sift together flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Stir in walnuts. Drop by teaspoons about 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Flatten with back of spoon.

Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until done. Remove from baking sheets. Cool on racks. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.

Other nuts can be substituted for black walnuts. Be careful not to burn these.
