1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. celery, chopped
2 tbsp. butter or oil
1 1/2 c. fresh pears, chopped unpeeled
1/4 c. raisins
Pinch of coriander or cardamom
2 1/2 c. well seasoned chicken broth
