3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. (heaping) cocoa
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. vinegar
10 tbsp. salad oil
2 c. cold water

Put a sifter in an ungreased oblong pan (9x13) or (10x12). Put dry ingredients into the sifter and sift into the pan. Make 3 holes in dry mixture. In largest put oil, in the next put vinegar and in the third put vanilla. Pour water over all. Mix thoroughly with a fork and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Recipe may be divided for a smaller cake. (Use square pan.)
