1 1/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. salad oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. water

Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt into an 8 x 12 inch glass pan. Make 3 holes. Pour vanilla into one, oil into one and vinegar into the third. Pour water over all. Stir very, very well with a fork until blended. This is the hardest step in making this cake, but extremely important. Smooth batter. Microwave 7 minutes, turning 1/4 turn every minute for the first four minutes. Delicious served plain, dusted with powdered sugar or a la mode. Makes 1 cake.
