GINGERBREAD PEOPLE 
1 c. molasses
6 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. powdered milk

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Heat molasses on stove or in microwave until it bubbles around the edges. Cut butter into little pieces and add to molasses. Add water, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, salt and baking soda to the molasses and butter mixture.

Stir until all dry things are dissolved. Then add whole wheat flour and powdered milk. Dough should be stiff. Add more flour or powdered milk if it's too sticky. Roll and shape dough into cookie shapes the way you would play-dough or chill, roll and cut with cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
