2 c. flour
1/2 c. dark unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

FILLING:

1 c. Crisco
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

In large bowl mix all ingredients with spoon, not mixer. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 7 minutes, remove and place on an open paper bag to cool.

For Filling: Beat all ingredients using milk to dilute a little at a time. Beat until fluffy like frosting. Spread filling on flat side of cake and cover to make sandwich.
