3 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. lard 1 1/2 c. coffee 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3 eggs 6 c. flour CARAMEL FROSTING: 1/2 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. milk 3 c. powdered sugar Let coffee cool. Mix lard and sugar, beat in eggs. Mix flour, baking powder and coffee. Wet soda with vinegar and sift baking powder with flour. Drop by spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees. |
