HAWAIIAN HAM | |
2 c. cooked ham strips 1 (9 oz.) can pineapple tidbits 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. MSG 3 to 4 tsp. vinegar 2 tsp. mustard 3/4 c. water 1 green pepper in strips 2 c. cooked rice Brown ham in small amount of fat. Drain pineapple tidbits, save syrup. Mix sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and mustard; stir in syrup and water. Add to skillet. Cook and stir until thickened; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add pineapple and green pepper strips; simmer only 5 to 8 minutes. Salt to taste. Sever with hot cooked rice. 4 servings. |
