CHEESY HAM AND NOODLE CASSEROLE
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash dry mustard
Pinch of thyme
Pinch marjoram
6 drops Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
12 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1 to 2 c. leftover ham, diced
1/2 pkg. noodles, cooked and drained
Buttered crumbs

Cook noodles and drain. Use microwave to make white sauce by melting butter and flour, add milk. Cook 2 minutes on high. Stir and repeat two more times, until thick. Add to white sauce: salt, dry mustard, thyme, marjoram, Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce.

Add cheese and diced ham. Mix all and put in greased casserole. Top with buttered crumbs.

Bake at 350°F for 1/2 hour or until bubbly.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

I've used this recipe for over 2 years now and it is amazing. You can mix up the ham with polish sausage, hot dogs, keilbasa, and even turkey and the outcome is great!

This was really tasty. I made the sauce on the stovetop instead of microwave and used crushed garlic croutons on top. I didn't have marjoram or thyme but it still tasted great without it. Also I used 8 oz of cheese and it was plenty. I'll try and cut butter and cheese a little more to save some calories but this was definitely a keeper!
