BUTTERSCOTCH YAMS 
6 medium size yams
1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. half and half or heavy cream
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Cook and peel yams and cut in quarters. Place yams in a 13 x 9 greased pan.

Bake in oven at 325°F for 15 minutes. In saucepan, mix remaining ingredients; stir constantly. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes. Pour over yams and bake for 15 more minutes. Baste often with the juice. Serve hot.
