COCONUT POUND CAKE | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. Snowdrift 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 c. plain flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 c. evaporated milk 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 can flaked coconut Have all ingredients at room temperature. Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Continue beating. Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add lemon juice and coconut. Place in tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes. |
