MOM'S COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter or 3 sticks and 1 butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
6 eggs
7 oz. angel flake coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add 1 cup flour and mix well. Add eggs one at a time. Mix remaining flour and coconut and add to mix. Add vanilla and pour into tube pan (grease and flour). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

GLAZE:

Simmer 10 minutes 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon coconut or almond flavor. Pour on cake while in pan and let set for 2 hours.
