EGG CUSTARD 
1/2 c. sugar or sweetener (to your taste)
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Lightly beat eggs and add sugar, salt and warm milk to eggs. Mix thoroughly. Pour into baking dish and sprinkle with nutmeg. Set dish into shallow pan with water. (Water should reach half way up sides of pan.) Bake at 350 degrees until knife comes out clean when inserted in center. Overbaking will make custard watery.
