1 c. solid pack tomatoes 1 can peeled green chilies, chopped 1 sm. onion, minced and sauteed in 2 tbsp. butter Salt and pepper THICK WHITE SAUCE: 3 tbsp. flour 3 tbsp. butter 1 c. milk 1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, cubed Wilt onion in butter, add tomatoes, chilies, salt and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. Add thick white sauce slowly, stirring in thoroughly. Lastly, add cheese, this is important to remember. Pour in chafing dish and serve with corn chips. Makes a pint. |
