SCALLOPED ONIONS 
6 med. onions
4 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. cream
Grated cheese
Paprika

Skin and slice onions. Melt butter and saute onions in butter until tender. Place in buttered baking dish; sprinkle with crumbs, salt, and pepper, and a little cream. Dust with grated cheese and paprika. Bake until crumbs are brown. Serve hot. Serves 4.
