EVERYDAY BROWNIES (LOW
CHOLESTEROL)
 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening (Crisco or butter)
1/3 c. cocoa
1/3 c. milk (skim may be used)
2 eggs or 3 to double recipe (Egg Beaters can be used instead of eggs)
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add nuts. Bake in greased 9 x 9 inch or 10 x 15 inch pan (if you double the recipe). Bake at 350 degrees.
