LOW-FAT BROWNIES 
1 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1/2 c. evaporated skim milk
1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/3 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING (optional) :

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. skim milk

In medium bowl mix together first 7 ingredients. In separate bowl stir together the egg whites, evaporated skim milk, applesauce, corn syrup and vanilla. Add the dry mixture to wet and stir until just blended. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8 x 8 inch pan with cooking spray. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until done. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack. Prepare icing - blend all ingredients in medium bowl and whisk until smooth. Spread on brownies.
