CORN FRITTERS 
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 scant tsp. salt
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. whole kernel canned corn
Oil for frying

Sift flour with baking powder, sugar and salt. Add egg, milk, and corn. Stir until well blended. Drop batter by the teaspoonful into hot oil. Fry until golden brown, turning once to cook evenly. Drain fritters on paper. Place on serving platter and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. Makes about 16 fritters.
