CORN FRITTERS 
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn
1 tbsp. Crisco, melted
1 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
Crisco for deep frying

In bowl, combine egg and milk. Stir in corn and melted Crisco. Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add to egg mixture. Stir just to evenly distribute ingredients. Drop from tablespoon, a few at a time into Crisco heated at 375 degrees. Fry until golden and cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Serve hot. Makes 15 to 20 fritters. May be shallow fried.
