SPRITZ CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
Hopefully you can find your cookie press! I store mine in a Christmas cookie tote with a bunch of other seasonal baking items.

1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
4 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
assorted sugar sprinkles (optional)

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk, vanilla and almond extract; beat well. Sift flour and baking powder, add gradually to creamed mixture, mixing to a smooth dough. Do not chill.

Force dough through a cookie press onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle sugars, if desired.

Bake in oven at 400°F for 8 minutes and cool.

Makes 6 dozen.
