3c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c.oil
1/2 c. orange juice
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 lg. apples, peeled and sliced

Set aside 5 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon in bowl. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan.

In large bowl combine ingredients except apples. Beat 2 minutes. Pour 1/3 of batter into pan, add 1/3 of sliced apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Repeat twice more. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool 15 minutes then turn out of pan. Sprinkle powdered sugar if desired or serve warm with ice cream.
