1 med. head iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 lg. Bermuda onion 1 pt. mayonnaise 1 tsp. jalapeno, seeded & diced 10-12 oz. frozen peas 8 strips lean bacon crisply fried Cheddar cheese, grated 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese 1 (6 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
Line salad bowl with shredded lettuce. Arrange drained, uncooked peas over lettuce. Crumble bacon over peas. Mince onion and layer over bacon. layer water chestnuts over onion.
Mix Parmesan cheese with mayonnaise and spread carefully over entire dish. Sprinkle generously with cheese. Refrigerate 12-24 hours before serving.
