LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head iceberg lettuce
1 head romaine lettuce
6 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 red onion, cut into bite-size pieces
1 c. julienne Swiss cheese, cut into bite-size pieces
6 slices bacon, cut into bite-size pieces
3 tsp. sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Place 1/3 of mixed greens in large bowl. Dot with 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1/3 onion, 1/3 cup of cheese and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar and a dash of salt and pepper. Repeat for 3 more layers. Chill at least 2 hours.

Just before serving, top with chopped bacon and toss.

Serves approximately 20 people.
