APPLE - CHEESE CUSTARD 
5 lg. tart apples (peel, core & slice)
1 c. cottage cheese
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 c. half & half
6 whole cardamon

Spread apple slices in a well buttered 2 1/2 quart (shallow) baking dish (2 inches deep is good). In blender combine cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs and half & half. Blend/whirl until smooth, then pour mixture over (evenly) apples.

Split cardamon pods, taking out seeds (usually 1/2 teaspoon of seeds). Chuck pods, sprinkle seeds evenly over apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown and apples are bender. 6 servings.
